People coming along are all ages and a variety shapes, sizes and levels of fitness. Each exercise can be adjusted to your own level and all the options are clearly explained so you can choose the one that works for you. There’s only one way to discover how much more enjoyable all aspects of your life become when you feel fit enough to deal with them – sign up to classes and find out for yourself!
Group exercise classes include a warm up prior to exercise then a cool down and stretch to round off. Classes use free weights, body weight and resistance bands to give you an all over body workout for muscle tone and strength plus exercises for heart and lung conditioning. The emphasis is always on doing what works for YOU.
Heart and lungs
Heart and lung health are vital for all of our daily activities, from walking up the hill to the shops to succeeding at the personal fitness challenge you’ve set for yourself.
Leg strength
Strength in the legs is essential for almost everything we do too, starting with getting out of bed in the morning, then lifting children, the shopping, working on your garden, the list really is endless.
Core strength
A good core will offer protection from lower back pain and strain and will help to maintain pelvic floor function too – or to put it another way, life’s a lot more fun if you’re not worried you’re going to pee your pants. Sorry, had to be said.
Brain
There’s lots of research to indicate that not only will you find short-term pleasure in exercising thanks to the post-workout endorphin rush, but you’ll also experience longer term benefits that help to protect us from brain-related problems such as cognitive decline.
Arms
And as for arms, well everyone finds well-toned arms a pleasure don’t they?
