My name is Nicky and I don’t particularly like exercise.
I have no wish to run a marathon, nor will you see me taking part in an iron-woman challenge any time soon (though I do have a great deal of respect for anyone who does!)
So, why do I do it?
Well, what I DO like is feeling fit. Being fit enough to play tag or a bit of footie with the family (and give them a run for their money!) or to cycle up a hill when we go out biking.
I continue to do it because it helps keep me sane.
It all started because I wanted to change my physical appearance (post-baby bingo wings, amongst other things).
I like feeling OK about my appearance and comfortable in my clothes. I like being able to eat cake from time to time and enjoy it without the guilt pangs – likewise with a glass of wine (or two!).
Do you need any more reasons?
So there you have it. For me it’s about feeling fit for life. Whatever it has in store.
“Nicky has gone to considerable lengths to devise a really personalised programme that draws on her extensive knowledge…this is the first time in many years that I feel I am making progress.” – C.K.
